Common fixes
The plugin does not appear after installation
Close the DAW, confirm the VST3 is in a scanned Windows VST3 folder, reopen the DAW and run a full rescan. Check that the host is 64-bit and supports VST3.
I see an old or duplicate plugin
Close every DAW and search the user-local and global VST3 folders for older copies. Do not delete blindly: compare product names and versions, back up the old file, then keep one intended candidate and rescan. Historical SjammFilter and singular Kickienator names should not be used as current releases.
SjammieFilter or MiniSjammie passes no audio
Confirm the plugin is inserted as an audio effect on a track carrying audio, Bypass is off, Mix and Output are audible, and the DAW track is not muted. Retry in a fresh project with quality or oversampling reduced.
Kickienators produces no kick
Load it as an instrument, send a MIDI note, turn Bypass off and check Output. Start with one note in a fresh project before diagnosing complex MIDI routing.
CPU use is higher than expected
Lower SjammieFilter oversampling or choose a lower Quality mode in Kickienators or MiniSjammie. Compare while audio is playing and note sample rate, buffer size, active voices and plugin version.
Synced movement does not follow tempo
For SjammieFilter, confirm HOST SYNC is available and the LFO is enabled. For MiniSjammie, enable Sync, choose a Division and raise Motion and Depth. Test a visible tempo change in a fresh project.
A saved project sounds or looks different
Check that the same plugin version is installed and no duplicate older binary is being loaded. Save a minimal project, close the DAW completely, reopen it and record which parameters did not restore.
Windows SmartScreen or antivirus shows a warning
Current candidate builds may be unsigned. Do not bypass a warning automatically. Record the detection name, product version, package checksum and a screenshot, then compare the file with the official checksum once downloads are published.
The DAW crashed
Preserve the crash log before reopening the project. Note the exact last action, plugin version, DAW, Windows version, sample rate and buffer size. Test whether the issue reproduces in a new empty project without sending private project material unnecessarily.
